Community Spaces Should Be Accessible to Different Minds

Community inclusion means more than simply opening the doors.

For neurodivergent people, a welcoming environment may need quieter areas, clearer information, flexible activities, understanding staff and permission to step away without judgement.

Sometimes people are capable of participating but find the surrounding sensory, social and organisational demands exhausting.

Accessible community spaces should recognise those needs rather than expecting everyone to cope in exactly the same way.

That's why I'm continuing to raise awareness through my petition for more inclusive community spaces.
