Still keeping the community spaces conversation going.

It's now been just over a year since my petition reached Parliament, and I still believe there needs to be more recognition of how important accessible, welcoming community spaces can be — particularly for people who don't necessarily fit easily into traditional opportunities.

A sense of purpose, somewhere to belong and opportunities to contribute shouldn't depend on fitting neatly into somebody else's idea of what participation is supposed to look like.

The petition may have reached one destination, but the conversation behind it certainly hasn't finished.
