Over the past year this petition has travelled further than I ever imagined. What started as a simple idea about protecting and valuing community spaces has grown into conversations with local representatives, mentions in Parliament, and support from people who believe these spaces matter.

Community spaces are where people connect, learn, volunteer, and find belonging. Losing them affects more than buildings — it affects people.

Even when progress feels slow, every signature and every conversation helps keep the issue visible.
