Since launching this petition back in March, I’ve learned that change doesn’t always move loudly or quickly — but it does move.
My original focus came from the closure of No Limits Community Café and Hub, a space that meant so much to so many people. What began as a response to loss has grown into something wider: a call to protect community spaces so they don’t quietly disappear without voices being heard.
The petition has now reached Parliament and is connected to ongoing discussions around community empowerment and access. It’s currently at the House of Lords stage, which means the ideas behind it are still being examined, shaped, and considered before the next steps.
There may not be dramatic headlines every day, but this stage matters. It’s where lived experience, local impact, and real stories are meant to inform better decisions.
Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, commented, or simply believed that community spaces are worth protecting. Your support continues to mean more than I can say — and it’s the reason this journey is still going.
I’ll keep sharing updates as things progress 💛
