Over the past few months, this petition has grown into something bigger than I ever expected.
What started as a response to the loss of a much-loved local space has become a wider conversation about why community spaces matter, especially for people who rely on them for connection, routine, creativity, and belonging.
Progress doesn’t always look dramatic or fast — and that can be hard to sit with — but this journey is moving forward. The conversations sparked by this petition are still happening, awareness continues to grow, and the importance of protecting inclusive community spaces is being recognised.
Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, commented, or quietly supported along the way. Every voice adds weight, and every bit of support reminds me why this matters.
I’ll continue to share updates as things develop. For now, thank you for standing with me — and for believing that community spaces are worth protecting.
