As we approach the 9-month mark of this petition (23rd December!), I wanted to share a little progress pulse.
The English Devolution & Community Empowerment Bill — which links so strongly to the issues raised here — continues its journey through Parliament. The next phase involves close scrutiny and amendments. That means the lived experiences behind this petition are still relevant and present in the conversation.
Community spaces, support pathways, and accessibility protections aren’t abstract policy themes — they are real human needs, highlighted by each signature here.
Even if the process feels quiet from the outside, there is quieter work happening now — shaping, refining, and aligning what the future of local support will look like.
