Monday marks another important moment.

The English Devolution & Community Empowerment Bill will be debated in the House of Lords.

This isn’t directly my petition —

but the themes behind it are the reason this Bill exists at all.

Community spaces are closing, support is shrinking,

people are feeling the impact — and Parliament is now discussing how empowerment should work in law.

I don’t know if my petition story will be referenced, but I do know lived experience has travelled further than I imagined — from Newton Abbot to Hansard.

Let’s hope the conversation on Monday keeps communities in focus.
