• Livestream Spotlight: Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to be a guest on a friend's livestream, sharing the journey of this petition. The other guest on the stream generously shared it, helping to boost our numbers and reach even more people. It's truly inspiring to see this community grow!
• Direct Dialogue with Local Leaders: Back last month,  I had a valuable one-hour online meeting with Martin Wrigley, our local Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate. This was a crucial chance to discuss the petition's aims and the vital importance of community spaces.
• Benefits Reform Event Invitation - A First! : in a monumental step, I'm thrilled to share that I've been personally invited to attend a Benefits reform event early next month! Critically, I will be able to bring this petition with me, ensuring our message is directly presented to those shaping future policy. This is a first for me, and a direct result of YOUR incredible support.
• Eyes on Parliament! With the growing support and recognition, there's now a very real possibility that this petition could eventually be presented in Parliament in London. We are building a movement that can truly influence change.

Why This Matters More Than Ever (Especially with the Benefits Reform Consultation) :

The government is currently running a public consultation on significant Benefits Reform (closing June 30, 2025) The event I'm attending is directly linked to this. Our petition, which began by focusing on the immediate loss of No Limits, now powerfully highlights the broader need for robust community support and accessible spaces, especially as welfare changes are being considered. Your signatures are critical evidence of public concern during this vital consultation period.

This petition journey has stunned me. It's about giving these essential community spaces a loud voice, and telling those with the power and decisions how to shape the future, not just for differently-abled individuals like myself, but for everyone, creating truly inclusive communities wherever they are.
