📢 The Lawyers Are At It Again! 🚨

Yesterday, both the NCAA lawyers and the House Plaintiff lawyers responded to the objections, and—no surprise—it was full of over-inflated statistics and half-truths.

The NCAA’s Misleading Arguments 🤡
The NCAA lawyers tried to justify roster limits by citing the NFL, MLB, and NBA, arguing that since those leagues have hard roster caps, it must be a good thing. What they conveniently left out? Those leagues also have players' unions and collective bargaining! 🏈⚾🏀 The NCAA is imposing restrictions without giving athletes a voice, making this comparison completely invalid.

They also played games with language around scholarship vs. non-scholarship athletes.
🔹 They stated that non-scholarship athletes were never guaranteed a roster spot.
🔹 Then, they claimed that scholarship athletes “won’t lose anything they were entitled to” because teams will still maintain their scholarship numbers.

This intentionally misses the point. (🤔🤨 Tsk, tsk… very sneaky! 🕵️‍♂️💨). The objections are about roster spots, not scholarships.

🚨 Example: In baseball, teams currently have 11.7 scholarships spread across 40-50 players. Under this settlement:
✅ The 11.7 scholarships will not be eliminated.
❌ The roster limit drops to 30.

So yes, the scholarships can still be divided up, but 10-20 athletes will lose their spot entirely. The NCAA is hoping you confuse scholarships with roster spots, but the numbers don’t lie.

The House Plaintiff Lawyers' Tone-Deaf Response 🎭
The Plaintiff lawyers may have been even more out of touch. Their response? Only 9 athletes who have objected have actually been cut.

Wait… WHAT?! 🤯

So the House Plaintiffs expected that more student-athletes would have already been cut—even before the agreement is approved?! And they think the only valid objections should come after athletes are already forced out? That’s completely backwards.

The Bottom Line
Both sets of lawyers are cherry-picking the most inflated statistics possible, ignoring the real impact of this agreement:
🚨 25,000 athletes will lose their roster spots.
🚨 Over 300+ individuals went through the painful process of filing an objection.
🚨 Thousands more have signed petitions opposing this settlement.

The NCAA and House Plaintiffs want you to believe this is just "business as usual," but the truth is clear: this is a massive, unjust overhaul of college sports, and they’re doing everything they can to distract from the damage it will cause. 💯

📢 Stay informed. Keep fighting for athletes. ✊
