Migrant workers come from various parts of the world to work on Canadian farms so we can eat. The living conditions for the migrants are deplorable sometimes there is one small space for over 10 men. They are forced to wear wet clothing to work because they don't have clothes dryers, the toilets are a permanent brown, and rats eating their food are only some of the conditions the migrants are forced to live in. The migrant workers have described their work as systemic slavery, really long hours, and very little compensation. Twelve men have died on farms since 2022, four people in the last week.

Let's bring attention to the plight of these workers and let Canada know that we respect HUMAN RIGHTS and will not tolerate the mistreatment of any human being. We need to define what accommodations migrant workers should have while working in Canada and we need to ensure that these needs are met. We also need to ensure that the Liaison Officers are properly reporting issues that migrants are sharing with them. If we do not do something now more people are at risk of being hurt or dying. It's time to make some noise.
