We have had a fantastic start to what we know will be a long journey, and every journey has to begin somewhere. It has been incredibly encouraging to see so much support from the community right from the beginning.

This petition aims to demonstrate community support for establishing a local Mickleham Fire Brigade to better protect our growing community and help prepare for the future. We understand that this is not a quick process and that meaningful change takes time, but advocating now helps highlight the needs of one of Victoria's fastest-growing areas.

Our existing emergency services do an outstanding job, and as a community we have a responsibility to support them and ensure they have the resources needed to continue protecting lives and property. Establishing a local brigade is about planning ahead, strengthening our emergency response capability, and ensuring Mickleham is ready for the challenges that come with continued growth.
