Recently on October 22, 2025, a training aircraft veered off the runway at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa. Fortunately, both the instructor and student pilot were uninjured, and the aircraft has been safely removed.

This incident underscores the risks of heavy flight training operations over residential areas. Repeated loops, low-altitude flights, and high training volume increase both safety hazards and noise and lead exposure for nearby neighborhoods.
