Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some encouraging news regarding our petition.

The Blacktown Council has responded and acknowledged our concerns. Since Duke Street falls under the state’s jurisdiction, they have referred the matter to the Secretary of Transport for NSW (TfNSW) for further action.

On the state level, our MP, Hon. Edmond Atalla, has also taken significant steps by referring this issue to the Minister for Roads, Hon. John Graham MLC, along with making personal representations on our behalf.

This shows that our voices are being heard, but the work isn’t done yet. Now more than ever, we need to continue our collective efforts to ensure our local and state representatives see this through to fruition. Let’s keep pushing to make Duke Street pedestrian crossing safer for our children and the entire community.
