The Campaign worked diligently to find a solution for Mr. Greenberg. Mr. Greenberg has not been willing to compromise. He insists we hand over the confidential data from our supporters without their permission. We have offered to ask our supporters if they would like to give their email addresses to Mr. Greenberg’s Fighting For Children Political Action Committee. Note that while List Brokers have valued the list he is seeking from the Stop Abuse Campaign at $360; Mr. Greenberg is suing the Campaign for $25,000. Here are some facts relating to Mr. Greenberg’s claims: Mr Greenberg claims that we launched the Child Victims Act with him in August 2017. Fact: Change.org confirmed the petition was launched April 3rd, 2016 which was long before anybody from the Stop Abuse Campaign had met or knew of Mr Greenberg. We met Mr Greenberg at the end of July 2016. The Change.org print out above confirms the date the petition was launched. Mr Greenberg claims that because the Fighting For Children PAC promoted the petition that he is a joint owner of the petition. Fact: The Fighting For Children PAC did promote the petition on its website as did other organizations; however, only Mr Greenberg believes this gives him some form of claim to the email addresses. Fact: Since its inception the Fighting For Children PAC website has generated 1,338 clicks to Change.org. Our Stop Abuse Campaign petition has over 70,000 signatures. At this time, with the end of the New York legislative session, we all need to be focused on passing the Child Victims Act, and work together to protect children from sexual abuse.
