Greetings, folks. I want to give you an update on the movement to become a state that protects children, not their rapists, by ending the statutes of limitation for child sexual abuse. Currently, the Senate has a bill (S809) that would completely eliminate the statute of limitations on child sexual abuse, the Assembly has one (A5885) that will extend it five years, and Governor Cuomo hasn’t released his version yet, but he has told us it will be similar to the Senate bill. The heavy negotiations will start in April. That’s why it’s so important that we hit the ground running.
