In the next few weeks, the Online Safety Bill will finally be passed into law, after which the media regulator, Ofcom, will be in charge of making sure social media companies do everything they should to keep children safe online.
It’s an important milestone, so let’s show Ofcom that hundreds of thousands of people want the strongest possible action to protect kids online.
Please share this petition far and wide and help us reach 100,000 signatures before we deliver it to Ofcom in a few weeks.
Your support so far is working. The collective action taken by you and others across the country is having a massive impact in driving online safety forward. On 12 September MPs largely accepted last-minute changes that improved the Bill and brough social media’s algorithms and design features within its scope. This wouldn’t have happened without the public groundswell of concern that you helped create.
