Tomorrow night, Tuesday 12/16 at 6:00 PM, Coeur d’Alene City Council will hear public comment. We urgently need residents to show up and speak.
Many of us who attended the Planning Commission meeting left feeling talked over, dismissed, or minimized when raising legitimate concerns about traffic, neighborhood safety, and street connections. Those experiences matter—and City Council needs to hear directly from the people who were in the room.
If you spoke at the Planning Commission meeting, or watched how public comments were handled, please consider sharing:
How your concerns were received
Whether you felt listened to or dismissed
Why neighborhood impacts still remain unresolved
Even 1–2 minutes of personal testimony makes a difference.

City Council needs to understand that this isn’t just about plans on paper—it’s about how residents are being treated in the process and whether real concerns are being addressed.
🔎 Coming next: A follow-up update will be shared soon with clarification on Section 4.3 of the Development Agreement, a more detailed recap of the Phase 1 Planning Commission meeting, and what these decisions could mean for future phases and neighborhood street connections.
Thank you for continuing to show up and support your neighbors
