The Issue

Gallatin Valley Regional Park has long been a treasured space for the residents of Bozeman, providing open views, recreational opportunities, and a much-needed respite from the city’s rapid development. But now, the City of Bozeman and Gallatin County are proposing to hand over designated public land within the park to private developers. This move would strip residents of land set aside for community use, replacing open spaces with commercial interests—all without our explicit consent.

We, the residents of Bozeman, say no to this land grab disguised as development. Public spaces should remain public, and decisions about our parks must prioritize the needs of residents, not developers' profits. The degradation of our last remaining open spaces must stop.

🔹 Why this matters:
✅ Gallatin Valley Regional Park serves as an essential recreational and scenic resource for residents.
✅ Handing over public land for private development sets a dangerous precedent for future land repurposing.
✅ Residents deserve the right to vote on any changes to designated public use areas.

We demand that the City of Bozeman and Gallatin County halt this proposal immediately and commit to protecting public parks for future generations. Join us in opposing this plan—sign the petition today and help preserve the integrity of our community spaces!
