‘You’re better than him, don’t worry about her, it wasn’t your fault’.
I’ve heard this over and over. But if no-one stands up, nothing changes.
I know of three women and families at-least that have been affected by the one perpetrator and we can’t keep letting them walk around thinking they don’t matter.
Yes I am anxious, yes I am activated, I’ve been living with hyper-vigilance for over a decade thinking I had to ‘behave’ or people would believe that I was ‘crazy’.
I thought everybody knew about this but it’s clear they don’t. I thought every male enacted these behaviours and have kept a guard up to protect myself. This has been going on too long, we need to change this so it’s not repeated for our future generations!
