This petition update serves as a reminder that we remain committed to advocating for the fundamental rights of endangered and threatened wildlife everywhere, who deserve to be respected and protected. We are deep into Earth’s sixth mass extinction of species, primarily due to human actions. If our actions are causing the demise of species worldwide, we also have the power to prevent their extinction. 

Allowing the hunting of endangered and threatened species not only undermines the value of life but also shows indifference to what these animals contribute to their ecosystems and, ultimately, to the planet. 

This petition was created to support the ProTECT Act (Prohibiting Threatened and Endangered Creature Trophies Act, H.R. 7840), which will prohibit the hunting of endangered and threatened species in the U.S. and prevent the importation of trophies taken from threatened and endangered species into the U.S. to ensure a future for wildlife globally.
