In our community, we have been fortunate to have a brilliant leader, Dr. Alfonso Jimenez, as the superintendent of Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. Through his dynamic leadership, he has made unparalleled contributions to our students' lives. He has introduced and expanded programs like Speech and Debate, C-STEM, Youth Cinema Project, Aviation, and much more. These initiatives have not only offered our children varied learning avenues but also empowered them to aspire for more. Under his stewardship, our schools have been honored with numerous awards, including the prestigious recognition of four Blue Ribbon Schools in a year - the highest in the country.

UPDATE The new board majority attempted to terminate Dr. Jimenez at a special board meeting that was illegal—echoing controversies seen in districts such as Orange USD, and it's sending shockwaves across our community. This action is rooted in personal vendettas and not in the interests of our students, their education, or the overall well-being of the schools. While the cancelation of the Special Board Meeting is a small victory, this is far from over. It is clear—this is a retaliatory pursuit and it does not prioritize the needs of our students, stripping them of an effective and visionary leader.

We firmly believe that Dr. Jimenez has conducted his role with the utmost integrity and dedication. Firing him on the unjust grounds of personal vendettas is deeply concerning. It fractures the trust we have in the board to make well-rounded decisions for our children's education. We urgently request a stop to the chaos.
