Dear Supporters,
We’ve now reached over 10,000 signatures on the community petition, alongside more than 1,800 signatures on the parliamentary e-petition.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
This milestone reflects how deeply people care about the future of Rainbow Bay–Snapper Rocks. The level of engagement over the past few weeks has shown that this is not just a vocal minority - it’s a huge community saying NO to the Gold Coast City Council.
While the masterplan has been approved by Council, it will still proceed through a Development Application (DA) process. That stage is critical, but we can stop this redevelopment before that even happens.
If you haven’t yet signed the official parliamentary e-petition, I strongly encourage you to do so. Formal petitions ensure concerns are recorded and require a written response, which strengthens accountability.
Most importantly, I encourage everyone to continue engaging respectfully and constructively. Passion is understandable — but respectful, focused advocacy is what creates long-term impact.
Thank you again for standing up for our community.
Kind regards,
Ira
