Protect Children on X: Ban Registered Sex Offenders from the Platform

We, the undersigned, demand an urgent update to X Corp’s Terms of Service to protect minors and vulnerable users from potential harm. Currently, X allows individuals who are registered sex offenders—including those convicted of crimes against children—to maintain accounts on the platform.

This is unacceptable.

While X has policies against harmful content, it does not prohibit these individuals from using the platform, putting children and families at risk. We urge you to:

What We’re Asking For:

Ban Registered Sex Offenders – Add a clear clause in the Terms of Service banning individuals convicted of sexual crimes against minors or listed on sex offender registries.
Verify Accounts More Rigorously – Use public registries and verification (where legally allowed) to prevent offenders from using X.
Expand Reporting Tools – Let users report accounts suspected of belonging to known sex offenders, with a fast, transparent review process.
Align with Global Standards – Work with international regulators to enforce global child protection laws and make platform policies safer.

We believe X can be a leader in online safety while maintaining its commitment to free speech. Protecting children is not censorshipit’s a moral and legal responsibility.
