Dear Friends,
This is a reminder that the final hearing on the Reserve at Haw Creek is tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 8 at 7:00 PM.
📍 Location:
Bunnell’s new Government Building
2400 Commerce Parkway, Bunnell, FL 32110
(Please note: this is NOT the county building – it’s the City of Bunnell’s new facility-: it's behind the Wendy's in Bunnell).
---
Why This Hearing Matters
This is the second and final adoption hearing for the Reserve at Haw Creek development agreement. By law, comprehensive plan amendments require two public hearings with public notice. This final hearing is the vote that will determine whether the project moves forward.
If the City Commission votes NO tomorrow, it forces the entire process to restart from the very beginning:
- The landowners would have to resubmit through City staff
- Go back through the Planning, Zoning & Appeals Boars
- Then return to the City Commission for another round of hearings
That’s why tomorrow is the critical moment for our voices to be heard.
---
Why You Should Attend
- Turnout = Pressure. A packed room of residents makes it harder for commissioners to ignore us.
- Transparency. The City already cut corners in this process — tomorrow is our chance to put their actions on record.
- Accountability. Once wetlands and floodplains are paved over, there’s no going back. This fight is about protecting water, land, and quality of life in Flagler County.
---
Please attend tomorrow at 7 PM and bring a neighbor, friend, or family member. Every person in the room matters.
💚 Wear green to show unity.
Thank you for standing up for Flagler’s future,
Savannah Brinkworth with Protect Rural Bunnell
