Brighton, a once vibrant city on the South coast of England, is currently grappling with a rising tide of anti-social behavior/potentially dangerous homeless/potentially violent drug and alcohol abusers plaguing its streets.

Behaviors such as verbal abuse, threats of violence/SA, death threats, shoplifting, treating retail staff with utmost disrespect, drunk and disorderly behavior and a clear disregard for others are just some of the instances I have witnessed/experienced in regards to this.

Such behaviors are contributing to the complete erosion of public safety for both the those walking the streets and those working in these locations who have to suffer this abuse. 

These behaviors are raising up a fear of enjoying the streets we live on or visit and are also affecting community cohesion.

According to local crime statistics, there is a considerable increase in anti-social behavior incidents over the last few years (Source: Brighton and Hove Police Reports). To ensure Brighton remains a safe and peaceful place to live and visit, it is crucial that we collectively address this issue.

By signing this petition, we demand local authorities to take immediate actions to tackle and prevent anti-social behaviour in all of its forms in Brighton's streets for the wellbeing of all those this affects and will affect in the future.
