This afternoon, while public statements said enforcement was paused and Bandit was “safe,” Bandit’s owner still has to go to court over an ordinance change no one knew existed.

Bandit has lived legally in Louisville for 14 years.
Fourteen years of being a neighbor.
Fourteen years of being loved.
Fourteen years of doing everything right.

And yet today, that stability is still at risk.

This is exactly what we’ve been saying from the beginning:
Verbal assurances aren’t protection.
Press statements don’t stop citations.
Good intentions don’t help families standing in a courtroom.

Our petition exists because real people and real animals are being affected right now, not hypothetically, not in the future.

Today it’s Bandit.
Tomorrow it could be someone else.

If you’ve signed — thank you. Please keep sharing.
If you haven’t — this is the moment.

We are fighting for clarity.
We are fighting for fairness.
And we are fighting to make sure no one else has to face this alone.
