PROTECT Avon Grove Girls and their Privacy

PROTECT Avon Grove Girls and their Privacy
The Issue
Are you ok with biological boys using girls' bathrooms and locker rooms in middle and high school? It is happening in the district.
We understand children dealing with gender dysphoria need our compassion and respect. They also need to seek proper care to help them through this.
The Avon Grove School Board and Administration unilaterally and without notice to the Community or Parents changed the school policy on children claiming Gender Dysphoria to allow children of opposite sex in the same bathrooms and locker rooms. The new policy is a moral, privacy, and discriminatory issue.
We understand the need for inclusivity and respect for all students. Still, we also recognize the necessity of protecting the privacy and safety of both the overwhelming majority of the student body (99.9%) and the students grappling with gender identity issues.
National studies show that providing separate facilities for transgender students can significantly increase their comfort and acceptance while minimizing potential disputes or discomfort.
We petition the Avon Grove School District Board of Directors and Administration to return to the previous policy that did not allow students with gender dysphoria to occupy a bathroom or locker
room that does not match their biological sex and use the single-use bathrooms already provided.
Therefore, we request the Avon Grove school district to take immediate steps toward drafting and implementing a policy that will define the proper usage of gender-specific facilities in our schools. This policy should consider all students' rights, safety, and privacy, and provide clear guidelines to avoid any future confusion or upset.
This will provide a safe environment, protecting their physical well-being, ensuring their right to privacy, and a safe learning environment for ALL Students.
Please support us and sign this petition to advocate for girls' safety and privacy within the Avon Grove Schools.
