Protect and Help Save Oak Savanna

The Issue

We need to Save Oak Savanna from being turned in new homes and condos. We need to save this area around Feliciano Dr and Mulholland Dr from being turned from this potentially family friendly park into a new development.

This new development will bring approx 19 homes 36’ high all crammed within 10’ of each other. This is the last standing Oaks of Topanga Canyon and we need to fight to save it. With the development all these tree will potentially die due to rerouting of the drainage and over 640 linear feet of retaining walls with some as high as 11’.

We need the community to come together on October 2 at 9:30. There is a city public hearing at 6262 Van Nuys Blvd, Van Nuys, Ca in the first floor conference room.

We are also asking for everyone to please contact Milenia Zasadzien who is the city planner and councilman Bob Blumenfield to voice your concern about this development. Please make your calls to them at (213)847-3636. You can also email Milenia at milena.zasadzien@lacity.org and Bob at council member.blumenfield@lacityorg. If you do email them please include in the title the case name and number which is 22255 Mulholland Dr case #VTT-67505. If you would want to send them letters in the mail you can send them to: 221 N Figueroa St, Suite 1350, Los Angeles Ca 90012.

We need to have all these letters, phone calls, and emails to them by September 25. So please make sure to send these ASAP. Help Save our neighborhood from construction that does not need to happen with miles of back ups due to road closures. Help preserve the history of this area including the wildlife and land. Lets fight to bring a family park to the neighborhood instead of a development.

Please help and spread the word
