The story behind this petition:

I wrote this petition because I watched my beloved feel stressed for posting his meditational ambient videos and repeatedly getting copyright strikes for 16 second or 20 second snippets of an hour long generative ambient drone piece with very intricate subtleties.

When we checked the piece with which the copyright bots identified it with, the pieces were really nothing like my beloved's compositions which were created with an array of synths, consoles and mixers. When I did some research, I found this was a common issue on YouTube.

Occasionally our dispute is rejected by the claimant. Although my beloved's channel is not presently being monetized, according to the present system, the claimant can get any money generated by the other person's video while the dispute is being decided. I believe this system encourages users to make more and more claims on other people's work.
