When many of you first signed this petition, ALL THE WALLS CAME DOWN was working to help bring national attention to what happened in Altadena after the Eaton Fire. The film was also short-listed for an Oscar award. The film was released by LA Times Studios on the January 7th Anniversary of the Eaton Fire, and it's free to watch. While we didn't clinch the Oscar nomination, we remain energized and have no plans to stop raising awareness, working with partners to prevent a second disaster.

Since then, the situation on the ground has become clearer—and more urgent.

As we approach the one-year anniversary of the Eaton Fire on January 7, 2026, survivor-led organizations and community partners have confirmed what many families are already experiencing: recovery has stalled because cash flow has collapsed.

That is why we have updated the petition language to reflect the reality survivors now face and the actions needed to stop a second, preventable disaster.

The revised petition—developed in partnership with My Tribe Rise and the Eaton Fire Survivors Network—makes clear that without immediate intervention, families will lose their homes to foreclosure long before insurance claims or litigation are resolved.

The updated demands call for:

  • A foreclosure and eviction moratorium
  • Immediate interim financial relief from Southern California Edison
  • Automatic protections for all impacted households

We encourage you to read the updated petition text, re-sign if prompted, and most importantly, please share it with your networks. Your support is greatly appreciated, and you are helping us get the attention Altadena needs for the cause!

Every additional signature strengthens the call for immediate action and helps apply pressure where it matters most.

Thank you for standing with Altadena and for continuing to show up when it counts.

Protect Altadena families.
Stop the second disaster.
