We pro choice up in this house. That is the whole point, and I am saying it plainly because too many people still act like abortion is something shameful or separate from real healthcare. It is healthcare. Period. And when people try to push those beliefs into our lives and our communities, they are trying to decide what happens to our bodies, our futures, and our families.

I am part of this community, and I know I am not the only one who is tired of seeing abortion treated like a political talking point instead of the basic medical care it is. When abortion access is restricted, people are forced to wait, travel, pay more, risk their health, and lose control over deeply personal decisions. That does not create safety. It creates fear, inequality, and harm, especially for people who already face the biggest barriers to care.

That is why I am calling on our national leaders to protect abortion access as essential healthcare. We need laws and policies that safeguard the right to make private medical decisions, protect providers who offer this care, and make sure people can actually get the services they need without intimidation or political interference. If abortion is healthcare, then it must be protected like healthcare.

This should not be up for debate every time someone's rights become politically convenient to attack. Our bodies do not belong to politicians, and our healthcare should not depend on someone else's beliefs.
