Over the past two weeks, I took all of YOUR signatures and comments and sent them off to over a dozen Mobile County, Alabama State, and Federal government representatives. Gratitude and love to all of you for showing that Leonard and I have a multitude of public support. The next phase of my advocacy for my husband is to show that his wrongful incarceration is part of a bigger, disturbing pattern in Mobile County, Alabama. In the course of performing research to support Leonard, I came across five other wrongful conviction claims stemming from Mobile, Alabama and connected with District Attorney Ashley Rich. Clearly, Alabama is in desperate need of more than two Conviction Integrity Units - ESPECIALLY Mobile. It’s time for the Mobile Police Department and Mobile DA to be held accountable for thorough and objective work and, if not, prosecuted for their lack thereof.
