Each time I get a phone call from my husband, that someone tried to stab him, hurt him, that he's sick and alone in prison, my heart grieves, not only due to the prison conditions in our country, but because he is suffering for something he did not even do. There's ample evidence to support his innocence, yet he lost the entire decade of his 30's being wrongfully incarcerated. My prayer is that this is the last birthday he ever spends away from the comfort of his loved ones and away from the comfort of freedom.
