The Issue

Election fraud can’t just be a talking point. It has to mean something—no matter who commits it.

Randall County Republican Party Chair Kelly Kenten Giles was arrested and charged with felony election fraud for allegedly submitting false information to get on the ballot. Because he was already in office when it happened, the charge was upgraded from a misdemeanor to a felony.

Texas leaders have spent years pushing aggressive election laws in the name of protecting the vote. Now that one of their own is under investigation, the public is watching to see if those laws will be enforced fairly.

If we allow party officials to break election rules without consequences, the entire system loses credibility. Integrity cannot depend on who you voted for.

We are calling on the Texas Attorney General’s Office and the Republican Party of Texas to ensure this case is handled with full transparency and without political interference. Texans deserve a system where the same rules apply to everyone—from local voters to party leaders.

No more double standards. No more selective enforcement. If election laws matter, they must matter for everyone.
