Similar to Puppy mills, multiple rabbits are cruelly and unethically confined in small cages like a cramped prison at this pseudo sanctuary. The rabbits are unable to move freely without climbing over one another, walk or lay down and their feet get sores from the hard caging.  After 3 months of age bunnies become territorial and fighting occurs resulting in life threatening injuries, breeding also occurs at a young age.

Peacebunny Cottage Island website, Amazon book sales and countless news and TV interviews mislead the public to believe they rescue abandoned rabbits and train them to be comfort animals.  While claiming funds are spent for care of the rabbits and spay and neuter, according to news reports/photos, the rest of the "rescued rabbits" run free in deplorable filth where they multiply and suffer and die without basic care, including food and water.  Rabbits require green hay for their teeth and digestion but all that is seen is yellow straw bedding.

Caleb Smith is a 4 H breeder who unnecessarily breeds rabbits contributing to the overpopulation of unwanted rabbits while claiming to help stop the pet-abandonment cycle with education.  

Caleb is 18 years old today, charge him as an adult along with the Smith family for felony animal cruelty and investigate possible misuse of donations.
