Kami, rakyat Malaysia, komuniti perniagaan, dan pihak berkepentingan, dengan ini menyatakan sokongan terhadap cadangan pembinaan jambatan tetap yang menghubungkan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan dengan tanah besar Sabah.

Sebagai hab kewangan luar pesisir, pusat sokongan industri minyak dan gas, serta zon bebas cukai, Labuan memainkan peranan strategik dalam ekonomi negara. Namun, kedudukannya sebagai pulau mewujudkan kekangan mobiliti dan kos logistik yang tinggi akibat kebergantungan sepenuhnya kepada perkhidmatan feri.

Kepentingan Projek - Pembinaan Jambatan Labuan–Sabah akan:

Mengurangkan kos sara hidup rakyat melalui penurunan kos logistik
Mempercepat mobiliti tenaga kerja antara Labuan dan Sabah
Merangsang pelaburan industri dan logistik
Mengembangkan sektor pelancongan dua hala
Mewujudkan peluang pekerjaan baharu
Mengukuhkan integrasi ekonomi Malaysia Timur
 
Impak Ekonomi
Kajian perbandingan projek jambatan nasional menunjukkan bahawa infrastruktur penghubung pulau–daratan mampu mencetuskan kesan limpahan ekonomi yang signifikan, termasuk pertumbuhan koridor industri, pembangunan hartanah, serta peningkatan aktiviti perdagangan.

Koridor pesisir barat Sabah seperti Sipitang, Menumbok dan Beaufort berpotensi berkembang sebagai hab industri dan logistik baharu sekiranya jambatan ini direalisasikan.

Manfaat Sosial - Selain impak ekonomi, projek ini juga akan:

Mempercepat akses kesihatan kecemasan
Memperluas akses pendidikan
Meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan bencana

We, the undersigned members of the public, business community, and stakeholders, express our support for the proposed construction of a fixed link bridge connecting the Federal Territory of Labuan to mainland Sabah.

As an offshore financial hub, oil and gas support base, duty-free island, and logistics gateway in West Borneo, Labuan plays a strategic role in Malaysia’s national economy. However, its island geography creates mobility constraints and higher logistics costs due to total reliance on ferry transportation.

Why This Project Matters - The Labuan–Sabah Bridge will:

Reduce cost of living through lower logistics costs
Improve workforce mobility between Labuan and Sabah
Stimulate industrial and logistics investments
Expand bilateral tourism growth
Create new employment opportunities
Strengthen East Malaysia’s economic integration
 
Economic Impact - Comparative studies of national bridge infrastructure projects demonstrate that island-to-mainland connectivity can generate significant economic spillover effects, including:

Industrial corridor expansion

Increased trade and logistics activity
West Coast Sabah regions such as Sipitang, Menumbok, and Beaufort hold strong potential to develop into new industrial and logistics hubs if this bridge is realized.
