For the last 3 weeks I've been asking BC Hydro about why 100 Mile House is the interconnect point when even they said they preferred option was Mica Creek in a 2013 article.

Their public relations contact has been telling me she has not heard from her colleagues as to the reason for this.
Maybe you all can reach out to her and ask her yourself?

As for Taseko Mining Corporation, they told me that it will be some time end of November that they will do an open house/public comment/feedback session in the 100 Mile/Deka/Bridge Lake communities.
In the meantime they have been slowly contacting the people that will be "directly" impacted and have the power line potentially running through their property but no financial compensation numbers have been discussed yet.
For now, all those who are considered "indirectly" affected, where the power line will be right beside your property and you will be forced to stare at it, are still not going to be on the compensated list.
All of this could be avoided if BC Hydro uses the Mica Creek line. So let's all contact them and make sure they realize we would prefer a different option.
