PROPOSAL FOR GEOGRAPHIC CONFINEMENT: STRATOSPHERIC AEROSOL INJECTIONS OVER ONTARIO

The Issue

As the Government of Canada explores Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI) to combat climate change, a nationwide rollout presents unquantified risks to our natural ecosystems. A cautious, evidence-based approach is required to protect the atmospheric integrity of the majority of our provinces and territories.

The Solution:

We call for the immediate designation of Ontario as the exclusive "Atmospheric Proving Ground" for all Canadian geoengineering trials. This is the only scientifically sound path forward, as the vast majority of our federal monitoring stations, atmospheric research laboratories, and specialized observation facilities are already concentrated within Ontario’s borders.

By utilizing existing local infrastructure, federal scientists can maintain direct, 24/7 oversight of the injection payloads without the logistical overhead of a national deployment. Confining these trials to Ontario’s airspace allows for a comprehensive 25-year longitudinal study on a single, controlled population while the rest of the Federation remains a "clean" baseline for comparison.

Why Sign?

This initiative ensures that the environmental and physiological impacts of a "modified sky" are fully documented where the experts are already located. Support the OAPG Initiative to ensure the "Wait-and-See" protocol is applied to 12 out of the 13 Canadian jurisdictions.
