I am a resident of Hue, Thua Thien Hue, Viet Nam. This issue may seem trivial to some but it is deeply personal to me. I don't know why it affects me so much but the lack of public art spaces in our city has always bothered me.

Art is not just about aesthetics; it's also about expression and communication. It fosters a sense of community and promotes cultural understanding. However, in our city, there are limited spaces for artists to display their work or for residents to engage with art.

According to the Vietnam Institute for Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS), despite having a rich history and culture that could inspire countless artworks, public art spaces are still lacking in many Vietnamese cities including ours.

This petition aims at urging our local government officials to recognize the importance of public art spaces in promoting creativity and cultural exchange. We need more accessible platforms where local artists can showcase their works and where residents can appreciate them.
