PROMISE TO PREVENT LAND POLLUTION IN CAPE TOWN

Picture it...

Children are playing next to toxic dumps. Families wake up to the smell of rotting waste. Our rivers run black with industrial poison.

Cape Town is drowning in waste - and it's making us sick.

Every illegal dump site is a health crisis. Chemicals seep into our water. Burning rubbish fills the air with toxins causing asthma and cancer. Rats breed in the garbage piling up on our street corners. This is the reality for thousands of Cape Town families right now.

The numbers tell the story:

- Waste is growing 7% every year

- The City spends R100 million cleaning illegal dumps (while new ones appear daily)

- Our landfills are overflowing

- Cancer and asthma rates are climbing

But here's what makes this different: Students from the International Peace College South Africa have said "enough." They're standing up for a cleaner, safer Cape Town. And they need every resident to join them. Don't you want to be part of making a permanent change for the environment?

We demand:

1. Recycling for all - facilities in every community

2. End illegal dumping - real enforcement, real penalties

3. Education that works - sustainability in schools and businesses

4. Industries held accountable - reward the clean, punish the polluters

Why this matters now:

If Cape Town - with all our resources and global reputation - can't solve this, who can? But if we succeed, we prove that ordinary people can force extraordinary change. This is your chance to show that you care for the environment. What are you waiting for?

Your signature means:

- Cleaner air for your children

- Safer streets for your community

- A livable city for your grandchildren

The question isn't "Can we fix this?"

The question is: "Will you stand with us?"

We only have one earth and one life. If not us, who? If not now, when? What will you tell your children when it's too late...
