Multimillion Dollar Breastmilk Empire Sues 70 yo Founder

The Issue

I helped found of a small, family run breast milk bank. Milk banking may be a niche space but it’s critical - preterm infants in hospitals around the world rely on donor milk for survival. And it’s turned into big business. My family has been working in breastfeeding and milk banking for more than 30 years and in fact my mother founded the largest milk bank - and it’s come back to haunt her.

My mother left the very company she founded to continue to innovate to improve care for sick babies. NINE years ago, that company had become - a large, sued my mother (and later added me) over alleged trade secret theft. The bad thing about litigation is that even if it’s a sham lawsuit you still have to fight it. We limped along trying to fight a David and Goliath battle for SEVEN years until our company went bankrupt, and 70 year old mother began using her social security payments to pay legal fees.

This is our plea asking the public to help us. Tell Prolacta Bioscience to leave us alone. With no company we are no longer a competitor, and can no longer serve the needs of sick babies.

We just want to be left alone.
