Il rumore assordante e improvviso dei fuochi d’artificio non è solo una fonte di disagio, ma rappresenta una minaccia concreta per la salute e la sicurezza di tutti. Ogni anno, in prossimità delle festività, numerose persone riportano ferite a causa dell’uso irresponsabile di petardi e artifici pirotecnici, con conseguenze spesso gravi come ustioni, mutilazioni e danni permanenti. Si tratta di incidenti evitabili che gravano inutilmente sul sistema sanitario.

L’utilizzo di materiale pirotecnico costituisce inoltre un serio pericolo nei centri abitati e nei locali pubblici, durante eventi, feste private e manifestazioni affollate. In questi contesti il rischio di infortuni, incendi e situazioni di panico è particolarmente elevato. Episodi di incendi e ferimenti causati dai fuochi d’artificio si sono verificati anche in Svizzera, dimostrando che questi pericoli sono reali e non semplici ipotesi.

I fuochi d’artificio mettono a rischio la salute umana, aumentano in modo significativo il pericolo di incendi e rappresentano una minaccia mortale per gli animali. Cani, gatti e fauna selvatica, terrorizzati dai botti, fuggono in preda al panico, rischiando di smarrirsi, ferirsi o morire. È inaccettabile che il divertimento di pochi si traduca in sofferenza e pericolo per persone, animali e ambiente.

Chiediamo pertanto che le autorità competenti adottino provvedimenti immediati per vietare l’uso di qualsiasi tipo di fuoco d’artificio e materiale pirotecnico nei centri abitati, nei locali pubblici e in tutte le aree ad alto rischio di incendio o di infortunio. Esistono alternative moderne, sicure e rispettose per celebrare: spettacoli di luce, laser show ed esibizioni con droni, capaci di emozionare senza mettere in pericolo nessuno.

Every year, especially during holiday periods, numerous people suffer injuries due to the irresponsible use of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices, often with serious consequences such as burns, mutilations, and permanent damage. These are preventable accidents that place an unnecessary burden on the healthcare system.

The use of pyrotechnic materials also poses a serious danger in residential areas and public venues, during events, private parties, and crowded gatherings. In such contexts, the risk of injuries, fires, and panic situations is particularly high. Incidents involving fires and injuries caused by fireworks have also occurred in Switzerland, demonstrating that these dangers are real and not merely hypothetical.

Fireworks endanger human health, significantly increase the risk of fires, and represent a deadly threat to animals. Dogs, cats, and wildlife, terrified by the explosions, flee in panic, risking getting lost, injured, or killed. It is unacceptable that the entertainment of a few results in suffering and danger for people, animals, and the environment.

We therefore call on the competent authorities to adopt immediate measures to ban the use of all types of fireworks and pyrotechnic materials in residential areas, public venues, and all areas at high risk of fire or injury. Modern, safe, and respectful alternatives already exist to celebrate special occasions: light shows, laser shows, and drone displays, which can inspire and entertain without putting anyone at risk.

Der ohrenbetäubende und plötzliche Lärm von Feuerwerkskörpern ist nicht nur eine Belästigung, sondern stellt eine reale Gefahr für die Gesundheit und Sicherheit der Bevölkerung dar. Jedes Jahr, insbesondere rund um Feiertage, erleiden zahlreiche Menschen Verletzungen durch den verantwortungslosen Umgang mit Knallkörpern und pyrotechnischen Erzeugnissen, oft mit schweren Folgen wie Verbrennungen, Verstümmelungen und dauerhaften Schäden. Dabei handelt es sich um vermeidbare Unfälle, die das Gesundheitssystem unnötig belasten.

Der Einsatz von pyrotechnischem Material stellt zudem eine erhebliche Gefahr in Wohngebieten und öffentlichen Räumen dar, insbesondere bei Veranstaltungen, privaten Feiern und großen Menschenansammlungen. In solchen Situationen ist das Risiko von Verletzungen, Bränden und Paniksituationen besonders hoch. Auch in der Schweiz kam es bereits zu Bränden und Verletzungen durch Feuerwerk, was zeigt, dass diese Gefahren real und keineswegs theoretisch sind.

Es ist inakzeptabel, dass der Spaß einiger weniger zu Leid und Gefahr für Menschen, Tiere und Umwelt führt.

Wir fordern daher die zuständigen Behörden auf, unverzüglich Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, um den Einsatz jeglicher Art von Feuerwerk und pyrotechnischem Material in Wohngebieten, öffentlichen Räumen sowie in allen Bereichen mit hohem Brand- oder Verletzungsrisiko zu verbieten. Chaque année, en particulier à l’approche des fêtes, de nombreuses personnes sont blessées en raison de l’utilisation irresponsable de pétards et d’engins pyrotechniques, avec des conséquences souvent graves telles que des brûlures, des mutilations et des dommages permanents. Il s’agit d’accidents évitables qui pèsent inutilement sur le système de santé.

L’utilisation de matériel pyrotechnique constitue également un danger sérieux dans les zones résidentielles et les lieux publics, lors d’événements, de fêtes privées et de rassemblements très fréquentés. Dans ces contextes, le risque de blessures, d’incendies et de situations de panique est particulièrement élevé. Des incendies et des blessures causés par des feux d’artifice se sont également produits en Suisse, démontrant que ces dangers sont bien réels et non hypothétiques.

Les feux d’artifice mettent en danger la santé humaine, augmentent considérablement le risque d’incendie et représentent une menace mortelle pour les animaux. Nous demandons donc aux autorités compétentes d’adopter sans délai des mesures visant à interdire l’utilisation de tout type de feu d’artifice et de matériel pyrotechnique dans les zones résidentielles, les lieux publics et toutes les zones présentant un risque élevé d’incendie ou de blessure. Des alternatives modernes, sûres et respectueuses existent déjà pour célébrer : spectacles lumineux, shows laser et spectacles de drones, capables d’émerveiller sans mettre quiconque en danger.
