As a devoted fan of Taylor Swift, I was deeply disturbed by the explicit and horrific images that circulated on Twitter recently. These images, created using artificial intelligence (AI), depicted Taylor in sexually explicit scenarios, some even portraying her being assaulted. This is not only an invasion of her privacy but also a gross misuse of technology.

AI has been increasingly used to create 'deepfake' pornography involving celebrities, women, men and even children. According to a study by Deeptrace Labs in 2019, 96% of deepfake videos online are pornographic. This misuse of AI is not only damaging to the individuals involved but also contributes to a broader culture that normalizes sexual violence and exploitation.

The use of AI for such purposes needs to be stopped immediately. It's time we demand stricter regulations on how AI technology can be used and ensure it does not infringe upon anyone's rights or dignity.

We urge lawmakers worldwide to enact legislation banning the use of AI for creating explicit content without consent from those depicted. We must protect our celebrities, our children and ourselves from this disturbing trend.
