These high-caffeine beverages have been linked to serious health concerns in children including heart problems, neurological effects, and obesity. Studies have concluded that energy drinks can have a greater impact on heart health than other caffeinated beverages like coffee or tea. Furthermore, energy drinks have no place in the diet of children and adolescents. It has become clear that regulations must be put in place to limit the exposure of these harmful drinks to our youth.
