I am a London resident, and I am personally affected by the deliberate noise pollution caused by motorbikes and cars with loud exhausts. The sudden revving of these engines when I am walking outside has negatively impacted my mental health, causing anxiety and nervousness. 

This issue extends beyond just me. Noise pollution is a serious concern in urban areas like ours. According to the World Health Organization, exposure to excessive noise can lead to various health issues including stress-related illnesses, sleep disturbance, cognitive impairment among children, tinnitus and cardiovascular disease (source: WHO). In addition to this, it disrupts our peace of mind and quality of life.

London should be a city where everyone can live without fear of disruptive noises affecting their wellbeing. Therefore, we are urging local authorities to ban motorbikes and cars that make deliberate exhaust noise within the city limits.
