Elected officials in the United States have a sole duty to the American people they represent. Allowing immigrants to hold positions of political power, regardless of their allegiance and agenda, permits opportunists to leverage the powers of that office in favor of non-American and foreign interests in direct opposition to the will of the American constituency.  This not only erodes the rights and powers of the American people, but is fundamentally anti-American at its core.
