Every year, millions of animals are used in product and cosmetic testing. According to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the largest animal rights organization in the world, over 110 million animals die each year due to animal experimentation. Of those 110 million animals, 95% percent of them were lab-bred, meaning they have never seen or experienced life outside of a fear-filled laboratory. In addition, the scientific validity is questionable as over 90% of human trials fail despite promising results from animal tests, according to Cruelty Free International organization’s data. For decades, large corporations such as L’Oréal, Dove, Clinique, and many more are responsible for the countless suffering and deaths of millions of animals. It’s time we end this cruel practice.
