Parkland Corp. is trying to minimize the impact of the media attention to the closure of the Esso station located in Port Rowan.  Leaving this high tourist area without gas services without driving to another town 10-15min away.  . Apparently the attention this little unknown to them Community has brought a lot of unfavourable flak to them! Media attention, phone calls to Corporate is not putting them in any kind of positive light. 
     Their response “ Other gasoline options would be Turkey Point, Tillsonburg & Alymer” to the closing speaks loud and clear to me that the “ Powers that be” have very little clue as to where we are even located and don’t really care how this effects many of us! Unlike the Cities we don’t have a gas station on every corner and it does matter to us, as well as our locals that were employed there in times of our current economy! It is obvious to me that our attention and concern with this closing has let them know we won’t go quietly away! Please keep up ur phone calls and letters to Parkland Corp. it is obviously a bother to them, and is if nothing else letting them know where we are located! Many voices will be heard and if nothing else a pain in their ass! Having said all this I also ask that u direct ur calls to Parkland Corp. 

They boast of there presence and expansion of over 1000+ station for customer convenience, but not in Port Rowan.

With Record profits in these difficult times I certainly can’t understand the powers that be can justify closing our only gas station that is always busy.  

Help support our community and join our fight.  With two provincial camp ground and all the trailer parks it certainly doesn’t speak to the company mission statement!

Our only local gas station is slated to close March 31st right before the big season.
