Hi everyone! You were so incredibly helpful and supportive signing Osime's petition that I made that I wondered if you could help us one more time.
My son along with thousands of other autistic children and teens has been turned down for mental health support from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services because he is autistic
They stated that while they acknowledge my son has 'emotional difficulties', they also note he has a diagnosis of ASD so they do NOT believe CAMHS is the right mental health service for him. They then referred him to safeguarding and children’s disability services, which is pointless as neither one will provide psychiatric help.
They are putting my sons life at risk by denying him help from the only NHS mental health service available in the UK.
