Strathalbyn Commity Petition Update: 37 East Terrace - Development

We're now reaching the critical phase of this petition. With over 820 signatures on Change.org and many more on the paper petition, we're closing in on the 1,000-signature milestone. A huge thank you to everyone who has signed—this clearly shows how important this issue is to our community. While many oppose the proposed location more than the fast-food chain itself, others are concerned about the health implications of such establishments, the potential impact on local businesses, and the environmental effects this could have on Strathalbyn. But what unites us all is the concern for the safety of students from the three nearby schools.

We've been in contact with the council, as well as the Ministers for Planning, and Infrastructure & Transport. However, we still need letters of objection from individuals and community groups. If you're willing to submit a letter, I can provide a sample to guide you. I’ll need to start gathering these letters this week, so now is the time to act. The more objections we submit, the stronger our impact will be.
